Bio

Lavetti Vegas is a Comedian based out of Omaha, Nebraska, and has been performing Stand Up since 2018. That year he also won the Omaha Funny Bone’s stand-up competition The Clash of Comics. Unfortunately, less than a week after winning the competition he was diagnosed with Diabetes and spent a week in the ICU in a diabetic coma. He took a hiatus from comedy because of the diagnosis. After the longest nap he has ever had to dream up bits, he would return to the stage at the Floodwater Freshest Comics competition in Iowa City, Iowa where he made the finals.

In 2020, he began organizing and producing his own stand-up show called Comedy Mafia. However, in March 2020 the pandemic hit, and the stages dried up. With time to write and think, he came up with a new idea to showcase the talent in his region of the country. He reached out to KPAO, the local tv station, and Comedy Society was born. Comedy Society ran on KPAO for 3 seasons and showcased some of the region’s best comedic talent. Once things opened back up he was back to traveling, doing shows on the road, and taking care of his son who was born in November of 2020. 

In 2021 he was regularly hosting and opening for a variety of shows across the Midwest, and in May 2021, he headlined his first show in Ankeny, Iowa. Early in 2022, he was asked to perform for a weekend in Tucson, Arizona and has since performed in Atlanta, Denver, Kansas City, Minneapolis, Des Moines, Tucson, Iowa City, Colorado Springs, and many other cities. While still a father and diabetic, his love and passion for comedy is rivaled only by his love for his son and honey buns. 

He is the Creator, Producer, and one of the Hosts of the local TV show Food & Laughter. A show that he co-hosts with his traveling comedy group 3 Comic Mafia and rotating host, Heather Jones. In April of this year, he entered the Top City Comedy Competition in Topeka, Kansas, where he again made it to the finals. Now his focus has shifted to the road, as he performs all over the country making people laugh while simultaneously taking his insulin.
